CalFresh: Known federally as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

 

CalFresh provides monthly assistance for low or no-income individuals and families to purchase nutritious food. The CalFresh program issues monthly benefits on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, similar to an ATM card, to purchase food at grocery stores and farmers markets that accept EBT cards. It enables you to buy more food, improve health and nutrition, and stretch your grocery budget.

Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center

Run by the Cordova Recreation & Park District, this senior center offers a variety of activities, outings, and classes.

 

Programs specifically for older adults include games, Bingo, movies, and other social events. There are also art classes for adults of all ages.

 

Offerings for adults include art, music, and exercise classes, Bridge, martial arts, and movies.

 

This community center offers several fitness classes just for older adults as well as exercise and yoga classes for adults of all ages. This site also has an aquatic center.

 

This community center offers adult activities such as pickleball, arts and crafts classes, and tai chi.

 

The Sunrise Recreation and Park District offers adult arts, fitness, and other classes and activities at this community center.

 

This community center offers programs and amenities for all ages, including some especially for older adults. In addition to taking arts or exercise classes, older adults can use computers, play games, work out in the fitness room, and eat lunch.

 

Older adults can take fitness, art, and other classes, play card and board games, and participate in support groups.

 

This senior center offers a variety of classes and social activities, including games, arts, book discussion, and fitness.

 

This community center offers activities and amenities for all ages, including fitness classes and equipment, computers, and a neighborhood walking club.
