The Msgr. Sigur Center offers resources for individuals and families in financial crisis. We serve both impoverished families and individuals, as well as people experiencing homelessness. Households facing a situational crisis can apply for financial assistance with utility bills, funeral expenses, and bus fare. The Msgr. Sigur Center provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families to aid in the prevention of homelessness. If you are in need of financial assistance, please call 337-235-4972, option 2, to schedule an appointment. Assistance may include, but is not limited to: utility assistance, bus fare, and prescription assistance; and fire, funeral or other disaster assistance.

Material Aid: The LCOA provides clients with some Material Aid; such as: Project CARE utility assistance, fans, commodities, food baskets, wheelchairs, bath chairs, potty chairs, walkers and canes. The medical equipment is provided on a loan basis.
Homemaking: The LCOA provides light housekeeping services for one hour to senior citizens who for whatever reason are unable to clean their homes.
